My idea, of a perfect vacation is to go to a destination, explore
that place and sleep as much as you can.
I have been thinking of visiting Mumbai from a very long time. My
destination this summer would be Mumbai. I have a habit of doing a research on
the place I am visiting. The main points which I consider are:
Weather: I will find out
that, what will be the weather at the time of my visit. I can easily make out,
what type of clothes I need to carry along with me.
Budget: I will make a budget for my travel, places to visit and an itinerary for myself.
My itinerary would look something like this:

Flights & Hotels: I will choose the best fare flight and hotel through Domestic Airlines
Routes to places I will
visit: Then, I will create a route for myself, using maps for different places
I will visit in Mumbai. Also, I would find out some nice restaurants for my Lunch
and Dinner. I create an itinerary.
The places which I will
visit in Mumbai are:
Siddhivinayak Temple: Lord Ganesha devotees, worship this enigmatic place where divinity of soul, come into being it’s the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple in the bollywood capital i.e. Mumbai. The two century old temple is worshipped by thousands.
The city of Mumbai, which is primarily known as the bollywood enigmatic life, is hardly seen with people worshipping gods and goddesses, but this temple brings with it a life worth worshipping. This temple was first consecrated on 19th November 1801.
The idol has four hands (Chaturbhuj), which contains a lotus in upper right, a small axe in upper left, holy beads in the lower right and a bowl full of Modaks (a delicacy which is a perennial favourite with Shree Siddhivinayak). On the both the sides are Riddhi & Siddhi, goddesses signifying sanctity, fulfilment, prosperity and riches. Etched, on the forehead of the deity is an eye, which resembles the third eye of Lord Shiva
Marine Drive: Marine drive situated in South Mumbai, it is a C shaped six lane concrete road which links Nariman Point and Malabar Hill. Widely known as Queen’s Necklace because, if viewed from the top it looks like a necklace.
At the northern end of Marine Drive is, Chowpatty Beach. Famous for its mouth watering and lip smacking bhel-puris, it has become a hub for popular street food. It’s also filled with many popular restaurants. Further down this road lies Walkeshwar, a wealthy neighbourhood of the city, also home to the Governor of Maharashtra. Real estate prices along the esplanade are high. Many hotels dot the drive, most prominent among them being the 5-star Oberoi (formerly the Oberoi Hilton Tower however reverted to the original name as of early 2008), The Intercontinental, Hotel Marine Plaza, Sea Green Hotel and a few other smaller hotels.
Colaba: Colaba is very famous for its fashion and lifestyle, and is a must visit place. It mesmerizes with its high fashion haute couture. A must visit place for the people who are looking for high street fashion.
Juhu Beach: Juhu Beach is one place, where you will encounter the most relaxing atmosphere. In the evening its the hub for all the street food.
Malls: Phoenix and Atria mall are also must visit places for shopaholics. They actually give you this feeling of shop till you drop.
Film City: Film City in Goregaon is also one of the places where you will get to see all the magnificent set where most of the films were created. Overall, Mumbai is a must visit place and the hub for food, filmy fun and a lot more.
This will be my Ideal Yatra.
