A Fantastico Restaurant – The Final Chapter

I was ready with my business plan to open a restaurant. I did all the researches which were mandatory for opening the restaurant. I got all the ideas which were necessary for the restaurant. Now the only problem was of funding. I was short of funds to open the restaurant.

Loan was out of question because I knew that I would not be able to get the amount which I needed to open the restaurant. I could get half of the amount as loan from the bank and half would be still left. I had no option other than doing a partnership with someone who could invest in my restaurant. I went to all my friends but they had already invested their money in mutual funds and shares. I was very upset because I could not arrange the money which I needed to open the restaurant. I had asked each and every person but no one helped me.

One day, a friend of my father came at home for dinner. He asked me about my work then I told him about my restaurant plan. He asked me for the business plan which I had created. The next day, I went to his office and showed him the business plan. After reading the plan he was so impressed that he agreed to invest in my restaurant.

The next step after the funding was to look for a prime location for the restaurant. In Delhi, the best location for restaurant is Connaught Place or Greater Kailash. I finalized Connaught Place for my restaurant. The rent was more here but the location was in central Delhi. From my experience, I learnt two things are very important for a restaurant. The first thing was ambiance and the second was innovation.

For the ambiance, I finalized a jungle safari theme which in my opinion was great. I met an architect and gave him an order to create ten dummies of wild animals for my restaurant. To serve food, I finalized plates which were made of wood.  I had a plan to keep some very unique dishes at my restaurant for that I called my cousin who was chef. With mix ideas of me and my cousin we created a menu with unique dishes.

I finalized 2nd March as the date for the opening of the restaurant as my son’s birthday is on this date. I called up some of my blogger friends also for the opening and give their feedback about the restaurant. They all appreciated my efforts and said what a fantastico restaurant you have opened. I was very happy with their feedback. In a time span of three months my restaurant came in Top 10 restaurants in Central Delhi.
