A Fantastico Event

I am a part-time event organiser.  Many of my friends approach me to organise their family functions or parties. It takes a lot of effort to make an event successful. I have a very busy schedule and it is very tough for me to take out time and organise an event but I cannot say ‘No’ to my family or friends.

It was March end and there was closing of the financial year. I was very busy checking the financial transactions of my company. I skipped my lunch also because of my work. As, I was checking the transactions a call came on my mobile phone. I picked it up, at first I didn’t recognized the voice, then I came to know that my childhood friend ‘Nikhil’ was on the line. We both had a very long conversation as he was calling after a year or so. After some time, I asked him that is there anything else other than just a normal conversation, for which he has called me after a year.

He told me that he has his son birthday in the last week of March and he wanted me to organise a birthday party for his son. I told him that I am very busy at my office as there is closing of the financial year. He tried to convince me but I said ‘No’ to him. I came back home and gave it a thought that if I can organise the party or not. I decided that I will organise the party for him.

Next day, I called up my friend and told him that I will organise the party. He was very happy and gave me the details about what he wanted at the party. He wanted a theme party and he told me about the theme. He wanted to keep a magician, a tattoo maker and an anchor who will do the anchoring.  I called up the magician and tattoo maker they were available on the dates which I told them. The only problem was from the anchor side, she was not available. As, I was thinking about the anchor, it came to my mind that my neighbour ‘Pallavi’ is an anchor.

I called her up and she said that she is available on that date. Now, everything was ready and the decoration at the venue was left. I took a very good hall decorator along with me to decorate the venue.

My friend invited me also in the party. The party started at 8 PM and everything went smoothly. Everything was perfect and everyone said that what a fantastico event it is. Everyone praised the event very much. The next day, my friend came at my home and thanked me for organising the event.
