Planning and arranging for a lunch party
is really tiring. I personally don’t like doing a dinner party at my home. I
always tell my wife to call his relatives in a restaurant, rather than calling
them at home. Most of the time is spent in serving to the guests and you get no
time to talk to them.
Recently, all my friends planned a
dinner party at my home. At first, I told them to keep the dinner outside in a
restaurant, but when they insisted to keep the dinner party at my home, I couldn’t
say no to them. Finally, the decision was made to keep the dinner at my home. As
expected, my wife scolded me for keeping the dinner at home.
We are total five couples in the
group. The planning was in such a way, that there is no stress on the person who
is doing the dinner at his home. It was decided, that each couple will prepare
a dish and the person who is keeping the party at his home, will only arrange
for crockery, tissues, soft drinks and dessert.
The dinner party was planned on the
day before Diwali at 8 PM. I came back home early on that day, to help my wife
in doing all the arrangement. My wife prepared pasta for everyone and when I asked
her that why is she preparing the pasta, as she has to just arrange for
crockery, tissues, soft drinks and dessert. She told me that she loves cooking
and wanted to prepare pasta.
My friends are very lazy, they came
at around 9 PM. We started the dinner party with some wafers and soft drinks.
My friend don’t like soft drinks, they only like beer. I went to the wine and
beer shop, which is near my home but it was closed. Another, shop is one kilometer away from my home so I took my car. I crate of beer from the shop and came back.
After wafers, everyone was interested
in playing cards. So, we started playing cards with real money and I played some
peppy music. We kept playing cards,
till 2 AM in the morning without having the dinner. After, a couple of minutes
I told my friends to have dinner. They still wanted to play cards and told me
to wait for half an hour more.
After a couple of minutes, they
realized that they are very late and told me to start the dinner. All the dishes
which were very tasty. After the dinner, we all started playing cards again. I
lost 200 rupees and my wife won 300 rupees, in total we won 100 rupees in the
card game.
It was a fantastico dinner party planned by my friends at my home.
