All that matter is...

This contest really made me think what that one thing which matters to me most is and I came to a conclusion that “All that matters to me is happiness”. What I find in every moment of life and after achieving my goals is happiness. From small things to big all that matters is happiness.

When I was in school I wanted to be a programmer. After doing my 12th in science stream I gave entrance test of DCE (Delhi Collage of engineering) and IP University. I got low rank in both entrances and I didn’t got the admission. Then I took admission in B.Sc(H) course in Delhi University. I started going to college made friends but still something was missing I was not happy.  What was missing was my ambition to become a programmer. I was unable to concentrate on my studies and was always thinking about it. Then I decided that I will give the entrance test again and this time I will study hard. I started studying for the entrance once again. My determination to become a programmer made me study for many hours at night, and finally I got admission in IP University. I was very happy. The happiness which I felt after getting the admission was something great, a great feeling that mattered to me most at that moment. I successfully completed my B.Tech in (Information Technology) and I have worked as a programmer in Rolta India Limited.

After, my B.Tech I was doing my MBA from IMT Ghaziabad. I met a girl and I liked her and wanted to get married to her. I always thought how I will convince my parents it is always a tough task. One day I took a bold step and told my parents. They agreed and suddenly Manglik issue came up. There was a no from both sides. I was not at all happy. Months passed we were still meeting each other and are happy together. We decided that we will talk once again with our parents, we told them what will happen to us will be our fate and succeeded in convincing them. We got recently married on 28th April, 2013. All that mattered to us was the feeling of happiness and togetherness which we felt after marriage.

All that mattered to me was happiness.

Drive To Damdama Lake - With friends

I still remember when I was in third semester of my Engineering we had strike in our college because there were no proper labs. We were seven friends Aditya (Me), Anuj, Prateek, Harsimran, Raunaq, Sumit and Abhishek. At the second day of the strike Anuj said "Chalo yaar kahi chaltein hai" and then I too said "Haan yaar gedi maarengi masti karenge". We all then decided to go to Damdama Lake. The drive was of about 50km. Abhishek said "Chalo yaar pehle kuch kha letet hai raasta lamba hai". We had a pakore wala near our college called Bindra pakore wala. We had Aloo and Paneer wala bread pakora.

Mouth Watering Pakoras

We bought chips and Cold Drink from the shop opposite our college and started our journey.  We took two cars Harsimran’s WagonR and mine was Esteem. I told Abhishek to drive because I had to play teen patti with Sumit and Anuj. Abhishek said “Abhi se he shuru kar diye thoda to ruk jaate”. Chips, Cold Drinks and Teen Patti was an awesome combination.  At mahipalpur Abhishek said “yaar mujhe paranthe khaane hai” then we stopped at a Dhaba near Mahipalpur and had paranthas. We reached Damdama Lake at around 3 PM. It took us two hours to reach there.  Then we went inside, the place was a little dirty but we did fun activities over there and boating.

Then we left Damdama Lake at around 5’o clock. After, reaching delhi we went to Pandara Road for dinner as everybody was so hungry. We all had dinner there. Then harsimran dropped Prateek, Anuj and Raunaq as they lived near Harsimran’s Place and I dropped Sumit and Abhishek. When I reached home Dad said “Beta aaj college se itna late kyu ho gaye”. I said “Papa aapko to pata hai college mein strike hai senior’s ne kaha aaj sab ne late jaana hai”.

I Saw, I Learnt

Learning 1: Once, I saw a father and son on road the child was holding an Uncle Chips packet in his hand or might be a Lays, I don’t remember exactly. The father saw a blind man finding it difficult to cross the road. He along with his child went towards the bind man and helped him to cross the road. After, that the son asked his father “Dad who was he, do you know him?” He replied no son, but you should always help others.

The father taught his son to help others.

Learning 2: I used to travel in local train in Mumbai. There are long queues at the stations. One day, I was standing in the queue and I saw a grandfather and his grandson must be around 6-7 years old standing in queue. The grandson said “Dadu jaldi karo naa aap aise kyu khade ho woh dekho sab aage se jaa ke ticket le rahe hai”. The grandfather replied “Beta line se ticket leni chahiye unko ticket nahi milegi”. I smiled upon seeing that.

The grandfather taught his grandson to stand in queue and wait for his turn.

New Tera Hotel - Karol Bagh

New Tera Hotel

New Tera Hotel

This place is pure vegetarian. I like this place for the Special Dal Makhani. The sitting here is a bit congested and the ambiance is not at all good. The place is in Karol Bagh market near Ghaffer. So, not recommended if you are going with your girlfriend on a date.  The first floor has air conditioned sitting and at the ground level normal sitting. Overall, a nice place for vegetarians.

AmbiPur Indiblogger meet #FreshNHappy

I was eagerly waiting for the AmbiPur #FreshNHappy Indiblogger meet as it was my first Indiblogger meet. It felt really great to be there as .We started the meet with registration and an answer to the question “If you got 15 minutes at the end of the Indiblogger meets what would you do"? Then, we had a crash course in head banging. Those who missed it, it goes this way put your left foot forward and weight on the right foot and head down up. It was crazy my head was going round and round for a minute. It was a nice warm up session. Then they picked up pictures which made smelly moments to smiley moments and the picture of a "potty" really smelly won.

Then the new bloggers got a chance to introduce them. Indiblogger was giving away Bluetooth headsets, Sony wrist watches, power banks to them. At the same time they told us to tweet about our nostalgic moment of fragrances or smells that takes us back to something. Megha Shrimali (http://shrimalimegha246.blogspot.in) and Soumya Gupta (http://betwixt-and-beyond.blogspot.in/) won the Chroma Tablet.

Then we had our amazing lunch. We started the Post lunch session with a number game. Indiblogger randomly selected bloggers and asked them to select a number from 1 to 9 and behind every number there was a gift. From Tomato ketchups, Check-in tags to bluetooth hands free.

After the game, the lady from the AmbiPur asked us what we do to get rid of bad smell around us. Then she told us about how AmbiPur eliminates odour by ion reactions and some interesting facts about AmbiPur. Then all of us were given AmbiPur air freshners. There were four different fragrances and bloggers with same were instructed to assemble in four groups. Then further the group was divided into two so there were a total of eight groups. Then a group leader was chosen. The group leader picked up the paper from the bowl in which we wrote the answers when we entered the meet. Every group had to perform the task written.

Our group had to perform Indian TV serial (spoof). This was really crazy we had AmbiMan, Smelly Cat, Neha's affair, zombies and many more. Another crazy moment was that we all shouted on the top of our voices for a gift and then we were told that there was no gift for this my throat is still bad. Then all the bloggers were given the AmbiPur Indiblogger T-shirt.

I came to know so many bloggers writing about social issues, technology, photography, poems and motivation. I also came to know about a bhagidari blog on which you can post your issues by B. S Vohra (http://rwabhagidari.blogspot.in/), Nikhil Chawla who is running a blog named The Unbiased Blog (http://www.theunbiasedblog.com), Prerna Jain (http://prernaji89.wordpress.com), Abhishek Maurya (http://mauryaabhishek.blogspot.in/) who was given a compliment that he looks like Dhanush, Ranjan Sardana (http://ranjansardana.blogspot.in/),  Shwetabh Mathur (http://shwetabh-roger-that.blogspot.in/), Yogita aggarwal (http://www.dreamtechie.com/).

Overall it was a nice and crazy meet. I enjoyed it a lot.
